About the Program
Harvard Undergraduate Science Olympiad Türkiye is a three-day STEM program that brings together students in Grades 6, 7, and 8 with a variety of scientific disciplines, combining the experience of academic competition with hands-on activities and mentorship.
At Harvard Undergraduate Science Olympiad Türkiye, students do more than simply learn science theoretically over the course of three days; they research, question, solve problems, and create. Students test their knowledge in Olympiad sessions covering Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Mathematics, and Earth & Environmental Sciences, while gaining hands-on project development experience by working on real-world problems in practical workshops conducted with undergraduate students and mentors from Harvard and MIT.
Program Outcomes
The Harvard Undergraduate Science Olympiad program offers an international academic experience designed to develop students' scientific thinking, analytical problem-solving, teamwork, research, and academic communication skills.
Throughout the program, students actively participate in academic studies, team-based tasks, and problem-solving processes across different scientific disciplines, reinforcing their theoretical knowledge through hands-on activities.
Through mentorship from Harvard undergraduate students, participants have the opportunity to gain direct insight into academic life, university experiences, scientific research culture, and future goals.
By the end of the program, students gain valuable skills in analytical thinking, effective time management, taking responsibility within a team, communicating with confidence, and approaching scientific problems from different perspectives.
A Message from the Co-Presidents of Harvard Undergraduate Science Olympiad
Dear Science Enthusiasts and Science Lovers,
On behalf of the entire Harvard Undergraduate Science Olympiad (HUSO) and mentor team, it is our great honor to invite you to the Harvard Undergraduate Science Türkiye Camp.
For years, Harvard Undergraduate Science has been dedicated to providing accessible STEM education to K-12 students. To support this mission, we organize our annual Science Olympiad Invitational Tournaments, particularly focused on serving students in the New England region, as well as global conferences such as Harvard Undergraduate Science Türkiye, which aim to expand the reach of science competitions beyond the United States.
Through this groundbreaking program, Harvard Undergraduate Science Türkiye aims to inspire and nurture an interest in science among the world's next brightest minds — YOU! Our goal is not simply to measure your ability to memorize information from textbooks; we also aim to encourage your curiosity, help you use science to solve real-world problems, and develop your ability to apply what you learn.
Throughout this intensive program, you will have a unique opportunity to explore a wide range of fields, including biology, chemistry, physics, mathematics, and earth/environmental sciences. The program is built around a curriculum carefully designed and led by dedicated undergraduate mentors from Harvard and MIT, many of whom are former Olympiad medalists and experienced researchers.
It is an honor for us to be among the first to welcome you to this program!
We cannot wait to see what you will achieve!
