Program Outcomes

This program not only prepares young individuals for the world of medicine; it also guides them to think and act like true medical candidates. The School of Medicine aims to provide high school students who are interested in medicine and health sciences with a university-level academic pre-experience. The program is delivered with content supported by academic mentors who are senior-level students at Harvard, enabling participants to become familiar with the expectations of medical education at an early stage.

It offers young participants not only coursework, but also a journey that allows them to experience the excitement of becoming a doctor, the power of science, and the depth of the healthcare world, providing high school students with a unique opportunity to move toward becoming the future leaders of health.

Provides a practical and scientific medical experience.

Clinical Experience: Participants learn clinical skills directly from Harvard Medical School students, gaining an inside perspective on what medical education truly involves. They explore various specialties, from cardiology to the immune system, and experience the most critical aspects of modern medicine.
Experiential Learning: Students learn how to interpret blood tests and imaging methods such as X-rays and MRIs, and begin to think like real doctors through case analyses. These trainings provide highly realistic experiences, allowing students to feel as though they are part of an emergency room team.
In the biology and chemistry focus, students study genetics, immunology, modern biotechnology, and disease mechanisms, preparing an academic presentation on a specific disease or genetic disorder.
In the anatomy and physiology focus, human body systems, medical tests, and imaging techniques (X-ray, MRI, etc.) are examined. Through case-based studies, students gain practical experience in clinical reasoning.
