
Harvard Student Agencies Pre-Med Summer School
Program Outcomes
This program not only prepares young individuals for the world of medicine; it also guides them to think and act like true medical candidates. The School of Medicine aims to provide high school students who are interested in medicine and health sciences with a university-level academic pre-experience. The program is delivered with content supported by academic mentors who are senior-level students at Harvard, enabling participants to become familiar with the expectations of medical education at an early stage.
It offers young participants not only coursework, but also a journey that allows them to experience the excitement of becoming a doctor, the power of science, and the depth of the healthcare world, providing high school students with a unique opportunity to move toward becoming the future leaders of health.

As an international student from Mexico, he has medical research experience outside the United States and is currently beginning his work in a cancer research laboratory at Massachusetts General Hospital.

Chinedum Aguwa is an undergraduate student at Harvard University, studying the History of Science and Integrative Biology, and is pursuing a pre-med academic track.
She has a particular interest in human physiology and public health, especially epidemiology and infectious diseases. She is currently working closely with the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s Office of Public Policy, contributing to policy research and development efforts on issues affecting blood cancer patients.
